Let It Go
Video Series
This three-part video installation reflects on what we choose to discard — not only in material terms, but also emotionally and symbolically. It examines the act of letting go and the transformation that follows. The videos are interconnected through the journey of waste collection, where each element leads to a deeper exploration of the intangible.
The heart of this project is a performance in which the artist, after observing the collection of waste in the medina and encountering a man who gathers discarded objects, walks for an extended period with a donkey — this time without any burden on its back. This act symbolizes an immaterial collection, a door-to-door process of gathering what we are ready to release: emotions, memories, thoughts. The donkey becomes a humble agent of change, silently inviting us to reflect on what we are willing to let go of.
